Crop Strategies (SNES)

In Harvest Moon (SNES), the are disadvantages to planting seeds in a 3x3 square. Once a plant sprouts, you will no longer be able to step over that square. Here is what a 3x3 square looks like where X is a crop. Following it, there will be formations listed to maximize profit without losing the opportunity to water a square with a seed.

You can also switch the circle around on the first one to any square except a corner

Rgis is the most popular strategy that many Harvest Moon fans use in all of the games. With this, you can make rows or columns and just go down the line watering the crops on either side as you pass.
